Lloyd E. Reed Jr.

Reed Jr. – Lloyd E., “Jr.”, 54, Hollsopple, went to be with the Lord on November 28, 2015. Born on October 29, 1961 in Hollsopple, Preceded in death by his parents and mother-in-law, Patricia Schuck. He is survived by his loving wife of 15 years, Rosemarie (Ponziani) Reed, Hollsopple; brother-in-law, Joseph J., married to the former Jennifer R. Lohr, Acosta, PA; nieces, Kaylee E., wife of Jamie S. Ogline, and Amber M. Schuck, all of Acosta, PA; great nephew, Quincy J. Ogline, Acosta, PA and numerous friends, including special friend, Diana Lawrence and family as well his police brothers and sisters. Jr. was a graduate of Conemaugh Township High School. He started his career as a Police Officer with Seven Springs Borough, then with Hooversville Borough, Seward Borough and most recently at St. Clair Township. During his career at Seward Borough and St. Clair Township, he was also employed as a part time Security Officer at several facilities. Jr. was an avid trout fisherman, NASCAR fan, Steelers fan, and had a passion for lottery scratch off tickets and working on cars. He will be remembered for his kind nature who was always helping others. Friends will be received from 2-8 p.m. on Thursday at Emmanuel Baptist Church, Richland Township. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday at the Cambria County War Memorial, with the Chaplain and Assistant Chaplain for Western Pennsylvania Police Benevolent Foundation, Dr. Jerry L. Keller & Leigh Applegate officiating. Interment will be at Custer Cemetery, Hollsopple, PA with City of Pittsburgh Police Department and PA State Police Honor Guards. The family is being served by the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland.
