Zalnerowitz – Linda Marie, 74, Tucson, AZ, formerly of Johnstown, went to be with the Lord on May 23, 2023 at her residence. Born on September 17, 1948 in Johnstown, daughter of Louis and Mary (Kindja) Wietecha. Preceded in death by parents; sister, Mary Ann Wietecha; loving 2nd parents, John and Ann (Kubara) Mlinarchik, and brother, Ronald J. Mlinarchik.
She is survived by her loving sister, Peggy (David) Antolik, Jennerstown, and sister-in-law, Anna Marie Mlinarchik, Richland; cousins, including, Dorothy (Robert) Holtzman, Lynn Virus, John (Karen) Kindya, and Charles Kindya, and many nieces and nephews.
Linda was a 1966 graduate of Johnstown High School. She was a US Airforce Veteran serving during the Vietnam War. Linda was employed as a Psychiatric Nurse in Tucson, AZ for many years. She was a member of Christ the Savior Cathedral. Linda enjoyed her years of being a compassionate psychiatric nurse, as well as caring about and staying in touch with her family and friends.
Friends will be received from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11a.m. on Tuesday at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, with The Very Rev. Protopresbyter Robert A. Buczak. Committal will be at St. John the Baptist Cemetery, with military rites conducted by Menoher Post #155 VFW Ritual Team. The family suggests contributions be directed to Christ the Savior Cathedral, Eternal Memory Endowment Fund, 249 Butler Ave. Johnstown, Pa 15906, in memory of Linda.
