Wolfhope – Leora R., “Lee”, 89, Elton, went to be with the Lord on February 2, 2015 at Country Manor Living, Jerome, PA. Born October 22, 1925 in Johnstown, daughter of Calvin Blair and Bertha M. (Brant) Repine. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert D. Wolfhope; daughter, Joanne R. Keyes; daughter-in-law, Debra (Burkett) Wolfhope; sister, Lesta Kuhn and brother, Donald W. Repine. She is survived by her children, Dr. Barbara L. Wolfhope, wife of James Kasputis, Matthews, NC; Doris J., wife of Robert G. Cassidy, Johnstown; Robert J., Dauphin; Thomas W., Windber; and Betty R., wife of Anthony Pompa, Patton; grandchildren, Alexander and Alicia Kasputis, Erin Cassidy, Shannon (James) Serrill, Bridget (Jason) Foust, Meaghan (Jason) Veney, Lauren (Nick) D’Alessandro, Kaylen Keyes, Robert Wolfhope, and Anthony and Maria Pompa; great-grandchildren, Brendan, Blaise and Baine Veney, Cassidy and Liam Serrill, and Peyton D’Alessandro; sister, Dorothy Williams, Corona, CA.; special friend, Jim Heldibridle, Davidsville and several nieces and nephews. Leora was a 1944 graduate of Adams-Summerhill High School. She married Bob in 1948 and devoted herself to raising her 6 children. Later she worked as a school bus driver and then a UPS driver. Leora was a volunteer for Conemaugh Hospital, Red Cross and Meals on Wheels for many years. At the hospital she met her long term loyal and supportive friend, Jim. She was a long term cancer survivor. She was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church. Her hobbies included golf, bowling and travel. She enjoyed walking with the Rise and Stride Club and was a member of the Silver Sneakers. Leora was an avid photographer. She learned to master her computer and enjoyed putting together family photo albums. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Friends will be received from 1-7 p.m. on Friday at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, and at Bethany United Methodist Church from noon until time of service at 1 p.m. on Saturday, with the Rev. Larry G. Dunn officiating. Interment will be at Richland Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions may be directed to Spina Bifida Association of Western Pa., 1158 Dutilh Road, Mars Pa. 16046 in memory of Leora.
