Leo D. Schutte

Schutte, Leo D., 87, of Belmont, returned home to the Lord on November 26, 2023 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center. Born on May 24, 1936 in Johnstown, son of the late Joseph B. and Anna Marie (Pullvermiller) Schutte. He is proceeded in death by the love of his life, Gail (Brown) Schutte and brothers; Joseph A. “Dugan,” Harry, Walter and Paul. He lives on through his three sons, Donald (Ann) Schutte, Johnstown; David (Bobbi) Schutte, California; Daniel (Sandra) Schutte, West Virginia. His grandchildren, Annie, Kathy (Eric), Jake (Joy), Scott (Karla), Bryan, Heather and Stephanie (Jon). Also his, great-grandchildren Maddy, Noah, Lilly, Jase, Julia, Jemma, Abby and Emmet. Leo was a dedicated member of St. Benedict Catholic Church. He enjoyed spending time with family, completing home improvement projects, gardening and watching the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was known and loved by the community after retiring from the meat departments at Gee Bee and BiLo. Leo was a loving, kindhearted and patient husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. His legacy of unconditional love will live on through all who had he honor of knowing him. He will be truly missed. A special thank you to the caring staff at DaVita Dialysis Center and Westmont Woods who made the tough times more comfortable. Friends received from 3 to 5 p.m. Monday, December 4, 2023 at Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland. A funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Fr.
