Renz, Leo H., 92, of Johnstown, PA. Died January 16th, 2013, at home. Born February 17, 1920, Coatesville, PA. Son of the late George B. and Norma G. (Rea) Renz. Also preceded in death by brothers Everett R. and Avery N. Renz; Sister Arlene Sheelor and daughter-in-law, Karen. Survived by wife of 41 years, Shirley J. (Miller-Shively) Renz; Children; Sharon (Dennis) Billet, York, PA; Craig S., York, PA; Deborah L. (Leonard) Mayer, Johnstown, PA; Diane L. (Hughart), Reston, VA. Grandchildren; Cheryl Renz, Michelle Freedline, Christina Huyett, all from York, PA; Natalie Moldofsky and Justin Mayer from Johnstown, PA; Brewston and Brandon Hughart, Reston, VA. Great Grandchildren; Alexander Benshoff, Johnstown, PA; Jared and Haydon Freedline of York, PA; Corey Hughart of Reston, VA; Kylee Hughart, Reston, VA; and many nieces and nephews. 1938 graduate of Coatesville High School. Retired as a buyer with 31 years at the Penn Traffic company in Johnstown, PA. He was an army veteran of World War II, serving in the European Theatre, ETO Battle of the Bulge and awarded 3 medals. Leo was a member of the Trinity Lutheran church in Johnstown; the Goddard Lodge #383, F&AM; Past patron, Anna L. Windolph #495, Order of Eastern Star; and Menoher Post #155, VFW. There will be no public viewing, however, family and friends are invited to attend the funeral service on Saturday, January 19th at 2pm at the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 600 Ash Street, Johnstown, PA.
