Lawrence J. Waltz

Waltz – Lawrence J., 70, of Boise, ID, formerly of East Conemaugh, went to be with the Lord on January 23, 2020 at St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center, Boise, ID. Born on February 8, 1949 in Conemaugh, Pennsylvania, son of William and Anne Marie Stevenson Waltz. Preceded in death by his parents, and his brothers, John and Tom. He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Nancy Ann Briggs Waltz; children, Wayne William, Garret James, Sarah Ann; grandchildren, Tre, Jaden, Drew, Greyson, and Noelle; sisters, Kathy, Rose, Peggy and Gerry; brothers, Phillip, Bernard and Mike, and many nieces and nephews. Lawrence was a graduate of Bishop-McCort High School. He was a US Air Force Veteran serving from 1968 until 1988. Lawrence retired from March Air Force Base, Riverside, California after 20 years of service as a Senior Master Sergeant. He enjoyed spending time with his family, leather crafting, volunteering at the local VA. Lawrence loved The Pittsburgh Steelers, his family and his arts and crafts. Friends will be received from noon – 1 p.m. on Saturday (February 1st, 2020) at the Baker-Harris Funeral Chapel, 229-231 First Street, Conemaugh. Committal will be at 1 :15 p.m. at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Fr. Robert C. Hall, Pastor. Military rites will be conducted by Menoher Post #155 VFW Ritual Team.
