Laverne A. Trent

Trent, Laverne M., 98, of Geistown. Died May 1, 2014, at Conemaugh Medical Center. Born April 27, 1916, in Berlin, PA. Daughter of the late Reon M. and Arabelle B. (Miller) Glessner.Also preceded in death by husband, Glenn A. Trent, sister, Ruth Cessna; niece, Brenda Pearson; nephew, Rodney Trent; brother-in-law, Eugene Trent and sister-in-law, Betty Trent. Survived by daughter Joyce Spangler, Richland; granddaughter, Brittany Spangler, Aspen, CO; brother-in-law, Rev. Robert Cessna, Enid, OK; and nieces, Cheryl Burtoft, Marsha Juliano, Shelby Bailey; nephew, Carlton Cessna; and beloved grand dog Tobi. Graduated from Berlin High School and York Business College. Former co-owner of Trent Insurance Agency which her husband Glenn started in 1955. Member of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church and Anna L. Windolph Chapter #495, Order of Eastern Star. Laverne was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and sister. Friends received 6-8 PM Sunday at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland and from 12 Noon to time of service at 1 PM Monday at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church. Interment at Richland Cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff of the Scalp Level Church of the Brethren Home for their wonderful care of Laverne for the last six years and where donations in memory of Laverne would be appreciated.
