Allison – LaRue Hope, 92, Richland, went to be with the Lord on July 2, 2021 at her home. Born on March 26, 1929 in Johnstown, daughter of Dorsey and Verna (Statler) Seese. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles E. Allison; grandson, Keith N. Fyock; siblings, Elaine (Lloyd) Keafer, Marjorie (Charles) Eichelberger, 2 infant brothers; brothers-in-law, John (Betty) Allison and Rev. Donald Fornwalt; sister-in-law, Margaret (Allison) married to Rev. Ordo Pletcher. She is survived by Douglas W., married to Deborah L. (McDonald), Elton, Gayle L. Fyock, married to Wayne N., Johnstown, Craig S., married to Judith M. (Rosage), Gaithersburg, MD; grandchildren, Kerry (Matt) Danel, Dunlo, Todd (Stephanie) Allison, Elton. Justin W. (Samantha) Fyock, Pittsburgh, Steven and Kevin Allison, both of Gaithersburg, MD; great grandchildren, Colten, Samantha, and Weston Danel, Wyatt and Chayce Allison, Jonah and Madeline Fyock; sister, Colleen M. Fornwalt, Howard, PA; brother-in-law, James (Annice) Allison, Naples, FL, and many nieces and nephews. LaRue was a graduate of Johnstown High School. She was a graduate of Juniata College with a degree in Home Economics. LaRue was a teacher at Hazelton High School in Fulton County for 2 years, then dedicated her life to raising her three children. She was an active member of Roxbury Church of the Brethren, where she was a Deaconess, Board member, Choir member, youth leader, taught Sunday School and Bible School. LaRue enjoyed crocheting, macrame, crafting, sewing, cooking and baking. She will be remembered for her incredible gobs and pies. LaRue loved babysitting her grandchildren, camping with family, and 4th of July family reunions. Friends will be received from 3-8 p.m. on Tuesday at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland and from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at the Roxbury Church of the Brethren, with the Rev. Brian Simmons officiating. Private burial will be at Berkey Cemetery. The family suggests contributions be directed to Roxbury Church of the Brethren, 112 Sell St, Johnstown, PA 15905 in memory of LaRue. Online condolences may be posted to www.wharrisfuneralhome.com.
