Holtzman, Kathy A. (Lehman), 75, Richland Twp. Died Dec. 6, 2015, at home. Born Feb. 23, 1940 in Johnstown. Daughter of the late Albert and Ethel (Kocher) Lehman. Also preceded in death by son, Brian E. Holtzman on Jan. 12, 2015; and brothers and sisters. Survived by husband of 56 years, Robert R. Holtzman; daughter Brenda (Dale Zartman), Etters, PA; grandchildren; Devin Cobaugh; and Lea (David Gendelman), Conshohocken, PA; and sister Margery E. Lehman, Johnstown. Also numerous nieces and nephews. Graduate of Central Cambria High School. Member of St. Benedict Catholic Church, Geistown, where she served as an usher. Former Cambria County Republican Commissioner for 12 years, serving as President Commissioner for 4 years and first Republican female Commissioner. Richland Township School Director for 8 years. Republican State Committee Women for many years. Co-Founder along with Bill Stewart of Penn Highlands Community College. Current President of Cambria County Senior Citizens and Turner Apartments, Ebensburg. Current board member of Salvation Army, Peniel Drug and Alcohol Program, Johnstown Sportsmen’s Club and member Geistown-Richland Lions Club. Kathy volunteered for many groups and organizations over many years. She was a dedicated public servant who loved her family and friends, especially her grandchildren. Friends received from 2-8 PM Tuesday at Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, where Vigil service will be held. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 AM Wednesday at St. Benedict Church. Fr. David S. Peles, pastor. Committal at Richland Cemetery. Family suggests donations to St. Benedict Church, 2310 Bedford St. Johnstown, PA in memory of Kathy A. Holtzman.
