Cannone, Katherine Rose, âKayâ, 95, of Richland, formerly of St. Michael, went to be with the Lord on June 11, 2012, at Laurelwood Care Center. She was born on May 5, 191, in New Derry, PA. Daughter of Frank and Madeline (Vesco) Ottino. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Samuel J. Cannone Sr.; brother, Frank Ottino and step grandson, Phillip Makin. She is survived by her loving children, Samuel J. Cannone Jr., married to the former Sandra J. Fanelli, Murrells Inlet, SC, formerly of Manchester, CT, and Katherine M. Cannone-Makin, wife of Larry W. Makin, Huntersville, NC, formerly of Richland Township; grandchildren, Lisa Cannone, St. Louis, MO, Brian Cannone, married to the former Michele Jennings, Boswell, PA, Jamie Cannone, married to the former Diana Frei, Georgetown, TX, and step granddaughter, Nichole (Makin), wife of Clinton Mitchell, Rockwell, NC; great grandchildren, Brianna, Gillian, Jaydon, Luke, Sarah, Isaac, Andrew, and Evan; sisters-in-law, Josephine Genovese, Westmont, and Prudence âPrudyâ Rulli, Summerhill; brothers-in-law, Anthony Cannone, Beth Page, NY, and Mike Campagna, Johnstown; several nieces, nephews and dear friends and neighbors, Steve and Joanne Lomago, Richland Township, who treated her like their own family. Kay was a graduate of Adams High School. She was employed at Penn Traffic, Bretts Clothier and Riverside Bakery. Kay was a talented amateur artist and leaves behind many beautiful paintings, which are cherished by her family. She was a wonderful baker and made sure that there were plenty of pies and cookies especially for the holidays. Friends will be received from 1 P.M. until time of service at 5 P.M. on Saturday at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, with the Rev. Cynthia Cadenhead officiating. Private entombment will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum.
