Karen Lynn Wyrwas

Wyrwas – Karen Lynn, 67, Jackson Township, went to be with the Lord on February 1, 2019. Born on February 14, 1951 in Johnstown, loving daughter of Raymond and Winifred (Beard) Hildebrand. Preceded in death by her parents; brother, Forrest “Stump”; nephew, Bryan Kamzik; brother-in-law, Roy Allen Yeager, and in-laws, Hal and Cecilia (Wyrwas) Ringler. She is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Leonard E. Wyrwas; siblings, Judy (Paul) Dubovecky, Vinco, Barry (Janice) Hildebrand, Vinco, and Darla (George) Kamzik, Panama City, FL; brother-in-law, Gary (Carmellina) Wyrwas, Parkhill; sisters-in-law, Mary Jane (Charles) Frank, Indiana, PA and Roberta Wyrwas, Homer City, PA; God sons, Garrett (Sue) Wyrwas, MD and Todd (Amanda) Kamzik, Vinco; several aunts, uncles and numerous nieces and nephews. Karen was a 1969 graduate of Central Cambria High School. She was a licensed beautician and ran her own beauty shop for several years. Karen later retired from Laurel Crest Manor after 25 years of service as a Unit Clerk. She was a member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church. Karen was an avid Steelers, Pens, and Pirates fan. She also enjoyed camping and fishing. “I would like to thank my husband Lenny, the rock of my life. Also, my family, my coworkers from LCM and all my friends for their prayers and support. In addition, many thanks to Conemaugh Home Health and Conemaugh Hospice.” At Karen’s request, there will be no public viewing. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, February 9, 2019 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, Fr. Andrew R. Draper, T.O.R. Private burial will be held at a later date at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family is being served by the Baker-Harris Funeral Home, 229-231 First Street, Conemaugh.
