ENGBERT---Juliann (Judie Stoy), 88, Windber, it is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye as Judie soared on Angels wings to be with Our Lord February 5, 2025, at Windber Woods with her sisters by her side. Born March 27, 1936, in Ashville, PA., daughter of Russell and Julia (Lidwell) Stoy. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Francis R. Engbert; sisters, Margaret Beiswenger, Dorothy Mansfield, Marie Geisel and Martha Janet Stoy; and brothers, Roger Stoy and Russ Stoy. Survived by sisters, Catherine Stoy, Regina Nosal, Bonita Stoy and Jackie Fetchko, and step-daughter, Mary Ella Watt. Also survived by much loved sisters-in-law, Joanne Stoy (Roger) and Mary Jo Stoy (Russ); and beautiful nieces and nephews whom Judie deeply loved and was loved by. Judie was particularly close to Rick and Todd Fetchko since they grew up in Windber and were always with their aunts. She is also survived by numerous close cousins and she leaves behind many good friends and her special pet cats Bubba and Leroy. Judie was a 1957 graduate of Windber High School, where she was a Varsity Cheerleader. She was the switchboard operator and held other office positions at Bestform Foundations in Windber for over 40 years. Judie was a very devout Catholic and spiritual woman filled with kindness, compassion and generosity. Her favorite television programs were on EWTN and especially Mother Angelica. She was a great lover of sports especially Notre Dame, the Pittsburgh Steelers, Penguins and Pirates. Her favorite place to eat was Rizzo's of Windber, and before her illness, she frequented there often. Judie was a wonderful daughter, wife, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. She was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Windber, where Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, February 10, 2025, with Father Rod Soha T.O.R. officiating. Entombment, Richland Cemetery Mausoleum. Family will receive friends from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, February 9, 2025, at Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland.
