CERTO—Joyce A., 82, Geistown, passed away September 16, 2018, at Memorial Medical Center. Born February 4, 1936, in Lansing, Michigan, daughter of Frank and Freda Farhat. Preceded in death by parents and husband, Angelo P. Certo. Survived by sister, Margaret E. Curtin, Lansing, MI; children, Nickolas P. Certo and wife Tracy (Herbst), Pittsburgh; Lori A. Certo, Lansing; Holly M. Haefner and husband, Charles Haefner Jr., Mars, PA; and Beth A. McGovern, and husband, Brian J. McGovern, Gloucester, VA; grandchildren, Daniel Certo, and wife, Jessica Repasz; Joseph Haefner; Andrew Certo; Alanna Haefner and Olivia Haefner; also survived by special friend, Bob Fesko. Graduate of St. Mary’s High School, Lansing, Michigan. She met her husband, Angelo in Michigan while he was attending Michigan State. Joyce worked as a secretary at many businesses and most recently retired from the Johnstown Senior Center. In her spare time, she enjoyed working as an accomplished seamstress out of her home. Member of St. Benedict Church, where Funeral Mass will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Fr. David S. Peles, Pastor. The family will receive friends from 2 to 5 p.m. Wednesday at Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, where Vigil service will be held. Committal, St. Anthony’s Cemetery.
