Joseph M. Raspotnik Jr.

Raspotnik Jr. – Joseph M., “Toots”, 85, of Franklin Borough, passed away on November 14, 2015 at Memorial Medical Center. Born on April 13, 1930 in Johnstown, son of Joseph M. Raspotnik Sr. and Sophie (Kopriva), wife of Sam Machich. Preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Susan L. Reese and brothers, Frank and James. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Jeannine L. (McNulty) Raspotnik, Franklin Borough; children, Karen A., wife of Rick Pudliner, Charleroi, PA, Joseph M. III, married to the former Sandra J. Law, Newtown, and Sharon M., Piker, Franklin Borough; grandchildren, Heidi Reese-Mock and Jodi Reese, Rick and Lori Pudliner, Matt Kent, and Bradley Piker; 6 great grandchildren; siblings, Mary Francis Czyrnik and John “Butch” (Kathy), all of Lorain Borough and numerous nieces and nephews. Toots retired from Bethlehem Steel after 35 years of service as a Truck Driver. He was a member of the White Eagles; life member of the Franklin Borough Volunteer Fire Company; Franklin Borough Council member for 4 years, and past President of the Newtown Franklin Sportsmen’s Club. Toots enjoyed bowling at the Knights of Columbus Bowling Alley, hunting and spending time at his camp with his son, friends and Nick Buchan “Eli” in Huntingdon. He also enjoyed Saturday morning breakfasts with Bethlehem Retirees. Toots loved gardening and spending time with his family. Friends will be received from 2-8 p.m. on Monday and from 11 a.m. until time of service at noon on Tuesday at the Baker-Harris Funeral Chapel, Conemaugh, with the Rev. Joseph Shawley officiating. Committal will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family suggests contributions be directed to Newtown Franklin Sportsmen’s Club, 332 Lower Newtown Road, Johnstown, PA 15904 in memory of Joseph.
