Joseph J. Polca

Polca – Joseph J., 55, of Woodvale, went to be with the Lord on November 28, 2014 at his residence. Born on March 24, 1959 in Johnstown, son of the late Sante A. and Mary F. (Sheehan) Panasci, VA. In addition to his mother he is survived by his loving companion, Dana J. Delawder, Woodvale; former wife Melissa Agypt, Windber; children, Shawn C., Geistown Borough, Christopher S., married to the former Haley M. Weaver, Windber, Joshua A., Windber, Selena M., wife of Zachary E. Lovely, New Cumberland, PA, Jacob A., Windber, and Dylan J., Woodvale; grandson, Ian D. Polca; siblings, Deane, wife of John Davis, Chesapeake, VA, Sandra, wife of John Maydak, Lancaster, Carol, fiancée of Robert Oldham, Lancaster, Angela, wife of Chris Rosage, Westmont, Cathleen, wife of Michael Williams, S. Burlington, VT, and Sante Jr., married to the former Melissa Diamond, Johnstown and numerous nieces and nephews. Joe was a US Air Force Veteran. He was employed as a phlebotomist with the American Red Cross, Johnstown. Joe enjoyed playing guitar, watching football, fishing, and was an avid reader. He loved his family more than anything else in life. Friends will be received from 2 p.m. until time of Prayer Service at 5 p.m. on Wednesday at the Baker-Harris Funeral Chapel, Conemaugh, Fr. Matthew Baum, Pastor. Private committal will be at Grandview Cemetery at the convenience of the family with military rites conducted by Menoher Post #155 VFW Ritual Team.
