Natta – Joseph, 79, Richland, went to be with the Lord on December 22, 2018. Born on March 25, 1939 in Windber, son of Joseph T. and Mayme B. (Shaffer) Natta. Preceded in death by his parents; infant sister, Mary; sister, Anna Fetzer, and brothers, Ralph and Nicola. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Hilda A. (Salla) Natta; daughters, Cheri L (Robert) Aiman, Pittsburgh and Melanie S. Schaefer, Richland; grandchildren, Kristin Marie Gasser, Pittsburgh, Gary Joseph Schaefer, Baraboo, WI, and Breana L. Schaefer, Richland; siblings, John (Janet), Johnstown, Thomas (Debbie), Johnstown, Richard (Cathy), South Fork, Nancy (Daniel) Varner, OH, Barbara Natta, MI and several nieces and nephews. Joe was a graduate of Windber High School. He retired after 28 years of service at CamTran as a driver and later became owner and operator of Dream Limousine. Joe was a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church; BPOE Lodge #155, and Local #1279 Amalgamated Union. He enjoyed fishing, bowling, playing poker, going to the casinos, cooking, painting cars, and stock car races. Joe loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. His family would like to thank the nursing staff at 7 Ashman and the Palliative Care Unit for all their compassionate care. Friends will be received from 11:30 – 12:30 p.m. on Friday at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland. Funeral Mass will be held at 1 p.m. at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Fr. David S. Peles, Pastor. Private burial will be at Grandview Cemetery. The family suggests contributions be directed to St. Benedict Catholic Church, 2310 Bedford St, Johnstown, PA 15904 in memory of Joseph.
