Joseph M. Kautz

Kautz – Joseph, 59, Richland Township, went to be with the Lord on December 24, 2017 at Select Specialty. Born on October 28, 1958 in Johnstown, PA, son of Joseph and Mary Emma (Shearman) Kautz. Preceded in death by the parents; wife of 26 years, Hazel (Joseph) Kautz, and infant sister, Sandra Kautz. He is survived by his loving son, David J. Kautz, Stonycreek Township; sister, Christine (Kautz) Bloom, Spartanburg, SC; several nieces, nephews, and many friends. Joe was a 1976 graduate of Greater Johnstown High School. He was a long-time employee at both the former Dravis Lumber Co. and Lowe’s Home Improvement, Johnstown. Joe was a member of Homestead Avenue United Methodist Church. He enjoyed woodworking, antique cars, and driving his 1972 Camaro. Joe loved his son, David more than anything and will be missed by all. Friends will be received from 3-7 p.m. on Thursday and from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. on Friday at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland Township, with the Rev.
