Pennington, John W., “Jack”, 76, of Johnstown, went to be with our Lord and Savior on Nov. 25, 2021, at Conemaugh Medical Center. Born on April 28, 1945, in Oil City, PA. Son of the late Rev. Charles M. and Dorothy (Wahlberg) Pennington. Also preceded in death by siblings: Charles "Chuck", Carol E. Fry, Thomas M. Pennington and Edward D. Pennington. Survived by brother Douglas F. Pennington and sister- in- law, Georgia L. Pennington: and numerous nieces and nephews. Jack retired from Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center after many years of service in the Security Department and former long-time member of Johnstown Alliance Church. He served in recent years as a custodian for Memorial Baptist Church where he was a faithful member, serving in many capacities. He was an avid lover of all electronics and had a witty sense of humor that kept his family in good spirits. His heart was very dear and he would go out of his way to help others that were in need. John was a loving uncle, brother, son, father, and loved his grandchildren. He lived for God and his family. Friends received from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm time of service Wednesday Dec. 1, 2021, at Memorial Baptist Church, 210 Vine St., Johnstown. Pastor Carl F. Irwin, Jr., officiating.
