Krupa - John, 92, of Richland, passed away in the comfort of his loving family on January 31, 2016. John was born in East Conemaugh, PA on December 29, 1923 to John and Mary (Medvesky) Krupa. He joins in heaven his wife and true love of 52 years, Ann “Honey” (Leck); son, Ronald; infant daughter, Renita; brothers, Rudolph and Eugene and sister, Mary Magdeline (Hopper). John is survived by his sons, Eugene and his wife, Chris (Pekala), Richland, Gregory and his wife, Debra (White), Ringoes, NJ and daughters, Gina and her husband, Don Haubert, Mechanicsburg and Sonya and her husband, Richard Evans, Richmond, VA; grandchildren, Alicia, Andria, and Ashlea Krupa, Alaina and Zachary Dworak, Reannon Holland, Shelly and Ricky Rollings, Morgan, Heather and Nicholas Krupa, Zachary and Abigail Evans; great grandsons, Owen and Noah Holland and Jacob Burlison. Also survived by brother, Tom and wife Marion, Irwin, PA; sister, Dolores Kissel, Rockville, MD, sisters-in-law Mildred Bellmund, Spring Valley, NY and Jean Krupa, Davidsville, and loving nieces and nephews. John was a 1941 graduate of East Conemaugh High School and worked at the Hendler Hotel during Johnstown’s bustling days and later retired as a Shearman, after 37 years of service at Bethlehem Steel. He was a life-long member of the Holy Trinity Byzantine Catholic Church, East Conemaugh. John enjoyed vacationing and exploring the states, riding the fastest roller coasters, growing his prized and award winning chrysanthemums, Pysanka (the Ukrainian art of decorating Easter eggs), Penn State Football, story-telling, and above all visiting with family. He was a very knowledgeable, caring, sweet, fun and loving man who will be greatly missed. John’s family would like to thank his “angels” at the Villa Personal Care facility and Interim Hospice for their support and compassion. Friends and family will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Friday at Harris Funeral Home 500 Cherry Lane Richland, where Parastas will be held at 8 p.m. Funeral mass will be held on 10 a.m. on Saturday at Holy Trinity Byzantine Catholic Church, Rev.
