Instone, John R., 44, Johnstown. Died Mar. 12, 2013, at Memorial Medical Center. Born Feb. 23, 1969, in Johnstown. Son of John F. and Doreen M. (Yeager) Instone. Preceded in death by father and mother, Doreen on Feb. 7, 2013. Survived by wife, Lynn M. (Sorchilla); daughters; Katie J. Instone and Kaileigh J. Sorchilla; grandson, Jude. Brother of Scott D. (Paulette) Instone; and Craig M. (Kristen) Instone both of Richland. Also nieces and nephews. 1987 graduate of Bishop McCort High School. 1990 graduate of UPJ. Employed by Penn Home Medical Supply. John was an avid hunter and outdoorsman and a passionate member of the NRA. He was also passionate about sports, whether it be watching, playing or coaching.
John was a “proud Pappy” and was at his happiest when with Jude. Friends received from 2-4 and 6-8 PM Friday at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, where Vigil service will be held. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Geistown. Fr. David S. Peles, Pastor. Committal at St. Johns Cemetery, Geistown.
