CHUPKO---John Paul, 84, Johnstown, went home to be with his Lord on December 15, 2021 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center. Born on May 25, 1937, In Johnstown, son of John and Kathryn (Hovraluck) Chupko. Preceded in death by parents; and infant brother, Nicholas Don Chupko. Survived by the love of his life of 55 years, wife, Carol A. (Pelesky) Chupko, whom he married on May 7, 1966; children, Nicholas D., Connie E. Bodenschatz (Barry), Matthew J. (Monda), Daniel A., Laura D. Gay (Jim) and Lynda C. Chupko-Lockhart; and grandchildren, Abbie, Lauren, Hayden, Jimmy, Matthew, Mackenzie and Logan. Brother of Kathryn M. Oravec, Rosemarie Drazenovich (Jim) and Paul G. (Cathy). John was a 1955 graduate of Johnstown High School, a Marine Corps veteran and a member of the Pennsylvania National Guard. He worked at Bethlehem Steel for 27 ½ years and retired from Ford Motor Company in Ohio after 10 years of service. He loved sharing Jesus Christ, being surrounded by family, and enjoyed singing especially with the Praise Team at church for 40 years, telling witty jokes and eating ice cream. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, December 19, 2021 at Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, where Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, December 20, 2021, with Pastor Jim Gay officiating.
