Vasas – Joann L., 84, Twin Rocks, went to be with the Lord on March 17, 2018. Born on June 17, 1933 in Johnstown, daughter of Harry Benjamin and Dorothy E. (Mills) Knauer. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joseph Vasas; 2 infant sons; grandson, Daryl Evan Mack; sons-in-law, John E. Mack and Joseph Obrets; siblings, Ruth Oshalkin, Kenneth, Harry Donald, Jack, Albon, and Carl. She is survived by her loving children, Diane L. Mack, Armagh, Phyllis J. Obrets, Twin Rocks, Joseph C., married to the former, Rhea Bracken, Armagh, Donna L., wife of Joseph Fletcher Jr., Johnstown, and Kathleen M., wife of Keith Beaupre, Clover, SC; grandchildren, John (Paula) Mack, Amanda (Ron) Penrose, Gerald (Christine) Mack, Joshua Vasas, Jaime Vasas, Bryan (Colleen) Fletcher, Shawn (Tabatha) Fletcher, Michael Dillon and his fiancé, Clarissa Evans, Tessa Kelly, Mark Kelly, and Aaron and Nicole Beaupre; great grandchildren, Alyssa. Johnathan, Tanner, Evan, and Blake Penrose, Devin and Delaney Mack, Joanna Mack, Conlan, Madelyn, Lydian, and Eily-Quinn Fletcher, Zaine, Brayden, Raelynn, and Aryn Fletcher, Claralynn Vasas, and Summer Dillon; sister, Janet M. Armstrong, Millville, NJ; brother-in-law, Julius Vasas; sisters-in-law, Malvena Maus and Reba Vasas and numerous nieces and nephews. Joann was a member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church. She enjoyed playing BINGO and jig saw puzzles. Joann was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Friends will be received from 3-7 p.m. on Tuesday at the Baker-Harris Funeral Chapel, Conemaugh, where Vigil Service will be held. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, Fr. Andrew R. Draper, T.O.R. Committal will be at Pike Cemetery. The family suggests contributions be directed to St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 3513 William Penn Avenue, Johnstown, PA 15909 in memory of Joann.
