Joann R. Greene

GREENE-Joann R., 80, Davidsville, died on November 29, 2022, at Laurel View Village. Born June 6, 1942, in Johnstown, daughter of John and Anna (Kopka) Lesser. Preceded in death by parents; brothers, Herbert, John and Rueben; and sister, Rosetta. Survived by husband of 61 years, Edward Greene, and sons, Brian (Cathy) Greene and Jeffrey (Susan) Greene. Also survived by two grandsons, Noah and Aaron. Joann was a 1960 graduate of Johnstown High School. She was employed as a Bank Teller by the former U.S. National Bank, the former Moxham National Bank and the former Johnstown Savings Bank. She retired as a Receptionist for Concurrent Technologies Corporation, Richland. Joann was a former member of Christ U.M. Church, Moxham and Beulah U.M. Church and was a current member of Oakland U.M. Church. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her children and grandchildren. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. There will be no viewing or public service. Inurnment will be held in Richland Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Laurel View Village Caring Fund, in Joann’s memory. The family is being served by Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland. Cremation by Laurel Highlands Crematory at Harris Funeral Home.
