Joan M. Schellhammer

SCHELLHAMMER---Joan Marie, 53, Conemaugh, born January 2, 1970 went to be with the lord on August 19, 2023. Joan is the daughter of Michael G. Schellhammer Sr. & late Joan Reese. She will always be in the heart of her loving daughter, Breanna Shay Schellhammer aka “Bumpkin” & “almost son” (as she would say)  Dino Tessari. Joan was madly in love with her boyfriend,  Kevin Cosgrove. She is also survived by Step-Mother & best friend, Connie Schellhammer; Sisters, Ann (late Joseph) Sodano, Cindy (late Michael) Schellhammer, Christine (Mark) Molnar, Kimberly (Neil) McCallay, & Jillian (Jim) Minor. She was “Aunt Joany” to numerous nieces and nephews who she loved each in their own way, and somehow, they all had a favorite song together. Left behind is also her “baby boy,” who happens to have four legs and a lot of fur, Syler.  Joan also leaves lots of memories with the rest of her large family and friends, especially from The Conemaugh Fire Club, Rockys Tavern, & Woodvale AC Club. If you ask her daughter, Joan would like to be remembered as a great cook, animal lover, always going out of her way to help another, a huge Pittsburgh fan (especially the Penguins), & The best "Mumpkin" ever! The family will receive friends from 4 until time of Memorial service at 7 p.m., Thursday August 24, 2023 at Baker-Harris Funeral Chapel, 229-231 First St., Conemaugh, with Rev. Adam Dotts officiating.  A celebration of life will follow at The Conemaugh Firemens Club.
