Rocco, Joan L., 76, of Lancaster, formerly of Richland Township, went to be with the Lord on August 14, 2013 at her daughterâs residence. Born on May 24, 1937 in Johnstown, daughter of John Sr. and Ethel (Newcomber) Bennett. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Joseph Rocco Sr (Papa Joe) and sister, Mary Robb. She is survived by her loving children, Anna M., wife of Kemp A. Rager Sr., Lancaster, PA, Rosemary, wife of John Gindlesperger, Johnstown, Joseph Jr., married to the former Lori Kochur, Albion, PA and Deloris Rocco, Daytona Beach, FL; 13 grandchildren; Kemp Jr., wife Brandi, Joe, wife Jess, Curt, wife Sue, Joanna, husband Mychal, Sam, wife Nikki, Mike, wife Carrie, Lori, husband Bobbie, Chrissy Rocco, Katy Rocco, Jim, wife Stef, Sherri, husband Keith, Cayla Rocco and John Martin, wife Aubre; 21 great grandchildren; Jacob, Kemp III, Anthony, Brianna, Brady, Belle, Sara, Landyn, Conner, Caleb, Logan, Sydney, Raji, Noah, Edis, Ella, Emry, Nathan, Hailey, Aaliyah and Sah-mya; sister, Jean Sechrengost, Windber, PA; brother, John Jr., married to the former Ida Darlene Hipp, Windber, PA and several nieces and nephews. She was a member of First Lutheran Church, Johnstown. She was a long time member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary in Johnstown and Lancaster. Joan "Mom" was a secretary of A.B.A.T.E. She worked at Bestform and is the owner of Best Buy Flooring and Rocky's Tavern. She enjoyed spending time at her cottage in Bedford County. Joan loved being with her family. She was loved by many and will be missed by all. Friends will be received from 1-3 and 5-7 P.M. on Sunday and from 9 A.M. until time of service at 10 A.M. on Monday at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, with the Pastor Carol Custead officiating.
