Enderlein â Joan E., 71, Johnstown, went to be with the Lord on December 15, 2014 at Windber Hospice. Born on June 9, 1943 in Johnstown, daughter of Douglas and Dorothy (Radusin) Kekich. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gerald Enderlein; sisters, Dona Hamacek and Patricia Kekich and a brother, Daniel Kekich. She is survived by her loving nephews, William Hamacek, Johnstown, Mike (Jill) Hamacek and their children, Jordan and Lydia Hamacek all of Windber; niece, Susan (Shawn) Haynal and their daughter, Ava Haynal all of Armagh; nephew, Jason (Stephanie) Kekich and their children, Sebastian and Isabella Kekich all of Johnstown; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law and their children totaling 18 and great nieces and nephew totaling 17. Joan was a 1961 graduate of Westmont Hilltop High School and later received a Certificate from the Maryland Medical Secretarial School in Hagerstown, MD. She was the first female to take Mechanical Drawing at Westmont Hilltop High School. After serving an apprenticeship at the National Institute of Health, she became a Mechanical Designer with a career spanning over 40 years. Joan became a specialist in piping design in water treatment for boiler feed water power food and pharmaceutical industry in the U.S. and globally. She worked for such companies as MERCK, Air Products, Bechtel, Chrane, Joy Environmental, Certain Teed, and American Engineering all in the Philadelphia and Tampa area. After retiring she returned to her beloved Johnstown. Joan loved drawing, painting and gardening. At Joanâs request there will be no public viewing. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service at 4 p.m. on Friday at the Baker-Harris Funeral Chapel, Conemaugh, with the Rev. Arthur T. Moffat, Jr. officiating. Private inurnment will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park at the convenience of family.
