Joan C. Buterbaugh

Buterbaugh – Joan C., 83, Parkhill, went to be with the Lord on October 23, 2014 at her residence. Born on December 24, 1930 in Johnstown, daughter of Obert and Alice (Clawson) Erwin. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Alfred L Buterbaugh Sr.; son, Robert Paul; daughters-in-law, Micki (Callan) Buterbaugh and Theresa (Naugle) Buterbaugh and sister, Nancy Yesh. She is survived by her loving children, Alfred L. Jr., (Linda), Parkhill, Leona, (John) Kowal, Johnstown, Obert G., (Paige) Gettysburg, Richard Allen, Coventry, RI, Carol J., (Alfredo) Verissimo, Montville, CT, and Jeffrey L. Roanoke, VA; 11 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; sister, Viola Hawks, Hagerstown, MD; brother, Merle Erwin, Holidaysburg; several nieces, nephews and her companion, Kitsy Cat, Shiloh. Joan was a graduate of Conemaugh High School. She retired in 1996 from Memorial Hospital after 26 years of service in the Dietary Department. Joan was a member of the Fountain of Life, East Conemaugh. She enjoyed going to church, feeding her animals, going out to eat and shopping. Joan loved spending time with her family, especially on the holidays. Friends will be received from 3-7 p.m. on Monday at the Baker-Harris Funeral Chapel, Conemaugh and from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at Fountain of Life, East Conemaugh, with the Rev.
