Jerry L. Daugherty Jr.

Daugherty Jr. - Jerry L., 55, East Conemaugh, went to be with the Lord on July 2, 2022 at his residence. Born on November 6, 1966 in Johnstown, son of Jerry L. Sr. and Patricia A. (Reynolds) Daugherty. Preceded in death by his grandparents.

He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Sue Malzi; son, Jerry L. III, East Conemaugh; canine companions, Mayhem, Jasmine, Drago, and John Snow; special aunt, Marge Howie, East Conemaugh; brothers, David, East Conemaugh, and Mark (Kathy), Jackson Township; nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and special friends, Randy and Vicki Malfer, East Taylor Township, and Sherry Wilde, Franklin Borough.

Jerry was a graduate of Conemaugh Valley High School. He loved our country and was a proud US Army Veteran. Jerry retired from SCI Somerset. He enjoyed watching sports, spending time with his dogs, and sitting on his porch hearing neighborhood children play. Most of all, Jerry loved his family dearly.

At Jerry’s request, there will be no public viewing or service. Private inurnment will be held at the convenience of the family. The family is being served by the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland. The family suggests contributions be directed to Wounded Warrior Project, 600 River Ave Suite 400, Pittsburgh, PA 15212 in memory of Jerry.
