DeMario, Jelorma K., “Duke”, 96, of Richland. Died April 21, 2019, at Arbutus Park Manor. Born Jan. 17, 1923, in Johnstown. Daughter of the late Vincenzo and Vincenza (Sunseri) Lopresti. Also preceded in death by husband of 59 years, Dominic A. DeMario; siblings August, Phillip, Jack, Joseph, Marian and Josephine Lopresti and Marie Brendel. Jelorma was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Also, special nieces Dolores Tinkle, Catherine Suskie, Nadine Golias and Joanne Litzinger; and numerous nieces and nephews; and grand and great grand nieces and nephews. Also special care giver Gina Straw. A 1941 graduate of Johnstown High School and was instrumental in organizing the 68th and 69th year class reunions. Retired co-owner of Lopresti Market, Geistown, which was established July 19, 1939. She retired after 66 years and known to customers and friends as “Duke”. Member of Christian Mothers and Guild. Life long member of St. Clare of Assisi Catholic Church, Woodvale (formerly St. Anthony Church) where Funeral Mass will be held at 10 am Thursday. Fr. Matthew Misurda, Pastor. Friends received 3-7 pm Wednesday at Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, where Vigil service will be held. Entombment at Richland Cemetery Mausoleum.
