Jean A. Schneider

Schneider – Jean A., 99, Laurel View Village, Davidsville, native of Johnstown, went to be with the Lord on February 7, 2024 at Laurel View. Born July 24, 1924 in Johnstown, daughter of William R. and Jennie (Sauer) Coolbaugh. Preceded in death by her parents and husband of 65 years, Warren Z. Schneider who died in 2009, son, Monte R. Schneider who also died in 2009, sisters, Lois Bergman, Eileen Strong and Patsy Duryea, niece, Kelly Tourney and nephews, Jim Strong, Patrick Sutton. She is survived by her loving nieces and nephews, Bill (Shelly) Strong, Jeff (Barb) Duryea and Mark (Sarah) Duryea; Mike (Margie) Sutton, niece, Nancy (Rick) Wessel, John (Sherry) Sutton, Barbara Fox and Leigh Ann (Larry) Fazen, Also survived by Kelly’s husband, Charlie Tourney, Patrick’s wife, Mary, sister-in-law and Aleva Schneider Pollard. Jean resided in Florida from 1962 to 2020 when she returned to this area. She was employed by the St. Petersburg School system where she retired as an administrative assistant. She enjoyed playing and watching golf. Our Aunt Jean loved God. At Jean’s request, there will be no public viewing. Memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, February 10, 2024 at Laurel View Village, with Pastor Eric Lasure officiating. Private inurnment will be at Bay Pines National Cemetery, St. Petersburg, FL. The family is being served by the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane.
