Chase, Jean Ann, 84, of High Point, NC, formerly of Richland Township, went to be with the Lord on November 4, 2013 at The Shannon Gray Rehabilitation and Recovery Center, , Jamestown, NC. She was born on April 9, 1929 in Patton, PA, daughter of Alvin M. and Ruth A. (Boley) Dietrick. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, James A. Chase; sisters, Elaine Bennett, Ruth Volk, and M. Lois Gill and brother, Richard Dietrick. She is survived by her loving daughter, Margaret A. âPeggyâ, wife of James S. Bell, High Point, NC; grandsons, Douglas (Mary Kay) Bell, High Point, NC and J. Lance (Melissa) Bell, Hebron, KT; great grandchildren, Nichole, Connor, Lorin, Cooper , and Emily Bell; sister, Ella Mae Stossel, Somerset, PA and numerous nieces and nephews. Jean Ann retired from Bali Bra Company, where she was employed as a seamstress. She was a former member of St. Benedict Catholic Church and the Richland American Legion Post #849, Ladies Auxiliary. Jean Ann was a current member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, High Point, NC; and the High Point Newcomers Club. She enjoyed reading, traveling, playing cards and socializing with her friends. Jean Ann loved spending time with her entire family, especially her grandsons and great grandchildren. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. on Friday at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, where Vigil for the deceased will be held. Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 A.M. on Saturday at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Fr. David S. Peles, Pastor. Committal will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
