Maldet, Jason T., 44, of Hollsopple, PA. Died Nov. 7, 2016. Born Dec. 23, 1971, in Johnstown. Son of Thomas and Janet (Mitchell) Maldet of Johnstown. Also survived by wife, Wendy (Evans); children, Harley T. Alexzander R. and Willow J. Maldet. Brother of Tommi (Craig) Chesnutwood; and Jeffrey Maldet. Also nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Graduate of Greater Johnstown Vo Tech. Jason was a welder. He also painted cars and formerly repaired small engines and owned a lawn care business. Jason loved gardening, drawing and art. He also wrote some children’s books. “To know Jason was to love Jason.” He loved children and animals and was a ray of sunshine. Jason took in many stray animals and was upset if the animals did not live. Halloween was his favorite time of year and he would host parties for neighborhood kids and his nieces. He had a tender heart of gold. Jason could not wait to have children of his own and finally had three children and was a tremendous father to them. He was willing to lend a helping hand to anyone and loved his family dearly and family always came first to Jason. There will be no public visitation, however, relatives and friends are invited to attend funeral service at 11 AM Monday at Westmont Church of the Brethren. Pastor Gary Masorjak, officiating.
