Janet L. Wissinger

Wissinger, Janet L., 84, Formerly of Walnut Grove. Died July 25, at Windber Hospice. Born July 12, 1931, in Johnstown. Daughter of the late Walter and Edith (Jones) Thomstatter. Preceded in death by husband of 65 years, Sylvester J. Wissinger. Survived by son, John Wissinger, AL; and daughter, Catherine, wife of Jim Bogusky, PA; grandchildren; Erika, Erin, Nicole and Christopher; and 6 great grandchildren. Sister of Marlene (Gerald) Barrick; niece, Kim Wiseman; nephews, Kevin and Keith Barrick. Member of Walnut Grove Church of the Brethren where she taught Sunday School, worked with the food bank and was active with the church women. Janet was a member of the Rise and Stride walkers. Janet was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed. Friends received from 9:30 AM to time of service at 10:30 AM Saturday Aug. 1, 2015, at Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland. Rev. Scott Custead, officiating. Private entombment at Grandview Mausoleum.
