He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Shirley A. (Knepper) Smith; sons, Bradley J. (Sean), Crestview, FL, Kevin L. (Christine), Dalmatia, PA, Jeffrey W., Rincon, GA, and James M. Jr. (Cynthia), Rincon, GA; 5 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren; sister, Shirley (Dave) Haak, Harrisburg, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Jim was a US Army Veteran. He retired as a Supervisor from Plumbers and Pipe Fitters Union Local #354. Jim enjoyed fishing, hunting, and collecting ginseng. He was past President of the PA Bass Federation and a member of the Allegheny Mountain Bass Anglers. Jim loved to spend time with his family, especially his sons in the outdoors.
At Jim’s request, there will be no public viewing or service. The family is being served by the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland.
