James M. Sharpe Jr.

Sharpe, Jr. – James M., 87, Windber/Richland, went to be with the Lord on January 27th, 2020. Born on January 12, 1933 in Windber, son of James and Isabelle (Gibbs) Sharpe. Preceded in death by parents and sister Margaret Bubenko. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Wilma I. (Davis); son, Gregory (Nina) Sharpe; daughters, Karen (Kevin) Gallagher and Susan (Glenn) Stock; grandchildren, Kelley and Kristopher Gallagher, Ryan and Kevin Stock, and Cameron and Miranda Sharpe. James was a graduate of Windber High School. He was a US Army Veteran serving during the Korean War. James retired from Penelec. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, the outdoors, and watching the Steelers. Most importantly he enjoyed spending time with his 6 grandchildren. Friends will be received from 6-8 p.m. on Friday at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland and from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. on Saturday at Oakland United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Dr. Randall W. Bain officiating. Interment will be at Richland Cemetery with military rites conducted by Windber V.F.W. Post #4795 Ritual Team.
