SAELLAM---James M. “Mick,” a beloved husband, father, Gida and pappy went to be with the Lord on February 16th, 2025. He was 67 years old and passed peacefully at home surrounded by his family. He was born in New Kensington, PA on July 13th, 1957 to the late James and Eileen (Ray) Saellam. He grew up in Arnold, PA and was one of five children. He was preceded in death by his parents. Mick is survived by his beloved wife, Tammy (Wissinger) and their three children: Matthew Buck (Ranee), Heather Hogue (David) and their youngest daughter Jamie Kring (Mark). He was also a very proud pappy and Gida to four grandchildren, Logan, Hailey, David and Wyatt who brought him so much joy and enjoyed taking them to all of their activities. He also loved his puppy Lucy and “grand dogs” Mia, Daisy and Rocky. He was also survived by his sisters Selma Saellam, Deborah (Jeff) Wallace, brothers Stanley (Michelle) Saellam and Bruce (Lynn Downard) Saellam. Mick enjoyed his bowling leagues, golfing, basketball, watching Penn State football and the Steelers. Ocean City, New Jersey was a very important family tradition and he loved the beach. He was known as the “Mayor of Denny’s” going there every morning for his daily coffee. He also loved the casinos, playing the daily number and his scratch off tickets. He worked for the D.O.T. (Penndot) for 35 years and enjoyed plowing Ligonier Mountain. Even after retirement, he still helped them out in the interim. The family will receive friends from 3 to 6 p.m. Thursday February 20, 2025 at Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, where Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, February 21, 2025.
