Parks – James T., Jr., “Slim”, 32, Johnstown, went to be with the Lord on March 19, 2017 at Memorial Medical Center, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on January 8, 1985 in Johnstown, son of the late James T. Sr. and Deborah M. Kuchenbrod, Johnstown. In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by a sister, Melinda Pinella; aunt, Carol Reynolds; nephew, Kareem Brandon; cousin, Devon Gregory, and good friend, Joe Kuzbell. In addition to his loving mother, he is survived by his son, James T. III, Johnstown, fiancée, Laken A. Shaffer, Johnstown; uncle, John Custer, Johnstown, sister, Felicia Kuchenbrod; nieces, Zaneya Shaw and Iyonia Barnes all of Johnstown; aunts, Carmella (Rick) Reighard, Johnstown, and Cindy Wilson, Philadelphia, PA; uncle, Bob Custer, OH; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends, including special friends, Jonathon “Red” Handel, Jarrod Zinner, Nate Bell, Rosemarie Langert, Hali Shaffer, Jason Bell, JR McAfee, and Larry Burke. Slim was a 2003 graduate of Greater Johnstown Vo-Tech. He was employed with his uncle, John for many years as a skilled laborer and also a cabinet finisher in FL. Slim was a diehard Cowboys fan, enjoyed fishing, but especially loved having a few and spending time with his family, fiancée, and his dog, Diablo. He loved life and will be remembered for his generosity. At the family’s request, there will be no public viewing or service. The family is being served by the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland. Private inurnment will be at Benshoff Hill Cemetery.
