MYERS---James A. Jr, 67, Johnstown, went to be with the Lord on January 20, 2022, in Johnstown. Born September 29, 1954, in Johnstown, son of James A. Myers Sr. and Naomi (Pruitt) McNair. Preceded in death by parents; and son Stephen Andre. Survived by his wife of 50 years, Roxanne (McDaniel) and children, Stephanie (Carlos) of Texas; James Myers III (Beth), Johnstown, Jai’nea (Juakiem), Johnstown, Kennetha (Joel), Texas and Carle, Johnstown; also survived by 9 grandchildren and mother-in-law, Dessie Jenkins. Brother of Pastor Theresa A. (Joseph) Jones, Fred, Johnstown and Rev. Derrick Myers, (SC), Elder Lisa M. Graves, Johnstown, Tim Sr. and Keith McNair, Ohio, Reggie and Darla Myers, Johnstown. Also survived by aunts, Fanny Randolph, MaryAnn Billingsley, Shirley Davis, Allie Pruitt, Christine Bolton, Rose Myers and Neal Myers, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. James was a 1973 graduate of Greater Johnstown High School. He worked in the Bethlehem Steel coal mines, Bethlehem Steel Mill, Covenant Transport and numerous other jobs. He was a member of Greater Johnstown Christian Fellowship. The family will receive friends from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland and again from 10 a.m. until time of Funeral service at 11 a.m. Friday at Pilgrim Church of God in Christ, 108 Poplar St., Johnstown, with Pastor David Myers officiating.
