Keyser, James C., 90, of Cover Hill, passed away on July 9, 2013 at Allegheny Lutheran Home. He was born on September 23, 1922 in Johnstown. Son of Louis and Carrie (Hammers) Keyser. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his grandson, Jeffrey J. Keyser; siblings, George, Louis, Robert, and Richard Keyser, Anna Yurkovich, Florence Krause, Rose Lloyd, Mary Gramling and Betty Padvorac and daughter-in-law, Kathy Keyser. He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Maria P. (Adams) Keyser, Cover Hill; children, Sarah Jane âJanieâ wife of Jack Thompson, Louis James âButchâ, Karen Sumrada and her fiancé, Geoffrey Jartin and Jeffrey S. married to the former Lori Manges, all of Johnstown; grandchildren, Leslie Sida, Lisa Shroyer, Lou Keyser, Jim and Joe Kaseler, Adam Keyser, Matthew and Marina Sumrada; great grandchildren, Stephanie, Nick and Ryan Sida, Brittany and Brady Shroyer, and Lexi, Zach and Sydney Kaseler; also sister, Marge âHoneyâ Kirchner, NY and numerous nieces and nephews. Jim was owner and operator of J.C. Keyserâs Garage in Cover Hill for over 50 years. He was a member of Ss. Gregory and Barnabas Church, Daisytown; Past President of Cover Hill Volunteer Fire Company for 25 years, member of the Cambria-Somerset Fire Police Association and the Cambria County Firemenâs Association. Jim enjoyed working on cars, hunting in his younger years and sitting on his swing in his later years. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grand and great grandchildren. Friends will be received from 2 to 8 P.M. on Thursday and from 9 A.M. until time of prayer service at 10 A.M. on Friday at the Baker-Harris Funeral Chapel, 229-231 First Street, East Conemaugh, Rev.
