Chesnutwood â James R., 79, Salix. Our wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend went home to be with the Lord on December 1, 2014 at Memorial Medical Center. Born on September 30, 1935 in Walnut Grove, Johnstown, PA, son of Paul James and Ivy Mariah (Wolf) Chesnutwood. Preceded in death by his parents and brother, Charles Lee. He is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Rosalie E. (Charney) Chesnutwood, Salix; son, Alan J., Salix; daughter, Diane E. Chesnutwood, Salix and her fiancé, Robert D. Rosage Jr., Johnstown; grandchildren, Joshua W. Chesnutwood, Ashville, PA and Simeon Rosage, Johnstown; brother, Kenneth R., married to the former Sharon Horner, Salix; sister-in-law, Esther (Bumgardner) Chesnutwood, Salix and several nieces and nephews. Jim was a 1953 graduate of the former Adams Township High School. He was a US Army Veteran serving during the Korean War. Jim retired from BP Oil after 32 years of service as a Terminal Superintendent. He was a faithful active member of Salix Bethel United Methodist Church, its Goodwill Sunday School Class and FENA. Jim enjoyed golfing, antique Ferguson Tractors, and was an avid sports fan. Worship, Bible Study and the Lordâs work where an integral part of his life. Friends will be received from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday and from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Thursday at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland. Funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. at Friday at Salix Bethel United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Donald Poole officiating. Interment will be at Richland Cemetery. Because he believed in missions and helping others. His family suggests contributions be directed to Bethel United Methodist Church, âMission Trip Fundâ, P.O.
