Bittner â Jack V., 80, East Taylor Township, went to be with the Lord on March 11, 2014 at Memorial Medical Center. Born on October 15, 1933 in Johnstown, son of the late Earl M. and Catherine A. (Meckley) Bittner. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Gladys M. (Lint) Bittner; children, Debra E., wife of Thomas S. Karmanocky, Lynda M., wife of Timothy W. Wedge, Susan L., wife of Kenny L. Horner, and David L. E., married to the former Regina L. Bush all of Johnstown; grandchildren, Jason (Sarah) Rex, Jessica (Adam) Savering, Tyler Karmanocky, Ashley (Brian) Gates, Ariana Berger, Alyson Dubeâ, Jacqulin Carter, and Malachi and Macale Bittner all of Johnstown; great grandchildren, LeâShona Carter, Tyler and Tycel Cottingham, and Addilyn Savering all of Johnstown; sisters, Mary Catherine Maser, Johnstown and Lenora, wife of Alfred Rose, AZ; numerous nieces, nephews and his best buddies, Bam-Bam and Shrimp. Jack retired from Bethlehem Steel after 39 years of service as a Crane Operator in the Open Hearth Division. He was a member of Summit Chapel United Methodist Church, where he was the custodian. Jack enjoyed camping at L.M. Camp Ground and also enjoyed entering Publishers Clearing House Sweepstakes. He loved making sure his yard looked impeccable at home and at the camp. Friends will be received from 3-7 p.m. on Sunday at the Baker-Harris Funeral Chapel, Conemaugh and from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. on Monday at Summit Chapel United Methodist Church, with the Rev.
