Isabelle C. Lux

Lux, Isabelle C., 95, of Johnstown, went to be with the Lord on April 4, 2016 at Amber Hills at Cambria Care Center. Born on March 27, 1921 in Johnstown, daughter of Daniel G. and Delilis A. (Farabaugh) Richardson. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Rupert A. Lux; daughter, Bonnie Prokop; brothers, Eugene and Howard; sisters, Ruth Bender, Genevieve Barnes, and Frances Baserman. Isabelle was the last surviving member of her family. She is survived by her loving children, Lou Ann (Harold) Partsch, Johnstown, Donna (Larry) Fitz, Hoschton, GA, Daniel (Maureen) Lux, Jonesborough, TN, Rupert (Linda) Lux, Norristown, PA, Robert, and his special friend, Diane both of Bluffton, SC, Bernadette (James) Cameron, Brooklet, GA, and Jean Ann (F. James) Fullerton, Lancaster, PA; 17 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Isabelle was a graduate of Dale High School. She was employed at Johnstown Vo-Tech for several years as a secretary. Isabelle was a member of SS. Gregory and Barnabas Catholic Church, Daisytown. While living in Florida she assisted her Catholic Church as a Eucharistic Minister. She enjoyed needle, work, crocheting and quilting and will be remembered for the beautiful quilts she made her family. Isabelle loved her entire family, and especially the Lord. She was always reciting the Rosary and praying for her family. Her family would like to thank the entire staff at Amber Hills for their loving care. Friends were received from 8:30 – 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 7th, at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland. Funeral Mass was held at 10 A.M. on Thursday, April 7th, at SS. Gregory and Barnabas Catholic Church, Daisytown, Father Robert Ruston. Committal was at St. John Cemetery, Geistown. The family suggests contributions be directed to SS. Gregory and Barnabas Catholic Church, Building Fund, 120 Boltz Street, Johnstown, PA 15902 or a charity of one’s choice in memory of Isabelle.
