Irene T. Seigh

Seigh – Irene T. 92, Geistown, went to be with the Lord on January 7, 2025 at Richland Healthcare. Born on May 21, 1932 in Johnstown, daughter of Paul and Anna (Totyk) Horwat. 

Preceded in death by her parents; grandsons, Phillip and James Seigh; daughter-in-law, Susan (Snyder) Seigh; siblings, Mary Hohrun, Stephen M. Horwat, Verna Lappi, Ann Kinder, Betty Robertson, Paul Horwat, and Helen Gusmerotti. 

She is survived by her loving husband of 71 years, Richard H., “Dick”, Seigh; sons, Richard J. Seigh, Elizabeth City, NC, and Patrick M., married to the former Karen Snyder, Camden, NC; grandchildren, Melinda Seigh, and Pastor Timothy (Sarah) Seigh; great grandchildren, Isaiah and Logan Seigh, Eleanor and Abigail Seigh, and Michaela Seigh, and numerous nieces and nephews. 

Irene was a graduate of Conemaugh Township High School. She was a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church, and a former member of the Windber Country Club. Irene enjoyed golfing, and bowling. She loved spending time with her entire family and will be remembered as a kind and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. 

Friends will be received from 3-7 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 15th, at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, where Vigil Service will be held. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 16th, at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Fr. David S. Peles, Pastor. Committal will be at Richland Mausoleum. The family suggests contributions be directed to St. Benedict Catholic Church, 2310 Bedford Street, Johnstown, PA 15904 in memory of Irene.
