Brickner - Herbert E., “Herb”, 87, of Jackson Township, passed away on August 22, 2016 at his home. He was born on September 24, 1928 in East Conemaugh. Son of Harvey J. and Hazel V. (Hagerich) Brickner. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Gloria M., who passed away on November 2, 2009; infant son, Thomas and infant sisters. He is survived by his son, Herbert Paul, Sewickley, PA; brother, Harvey F. married to the former Delores Gray, Chesaning, MI; sister-in-law, Margaret “Peg” wife of Stanley King, Pittsburgh; several nieces, nephews and many good friends. Herb was a 1948 graduate of East Conemaugh High School. He was a US Air Force Veteran for four years, serving during the Korean War. Herb was a member of Conemaugh First United Methodist Church and the American Legion Post #0294. He was also an avid deer hunter, who harvested his last deer at the age of 82. Herb will be missed by friends living on Woodland Street, formerly known as Woodlawn Drive. At Herb’s request, there will be no public visitation. Family and friends are invited to attend a graveside service at 3 p.m. on Friday at Headrick Union Cemetery, with Pastor James Gay officiating.
