Yakulik - Helen Marie, 70, of East Conemaugh Borough, passed away peacefully in the arms of her daughters on January 21, 2017. Helen Marie was born in Johnstown to the late James Salata and Helen (Ziemba) Salata, East Taylor Township. In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by her beloved dog, Samantha. In addition to her mother, Helen Marie is survived by her husband, John Michael, Jackson Township; daughters, Christine, wife of Jerame Pringle; Jean, and partner, Darren Masoryak; Janice, wife of Sean Ferg; grandchildren, Ean and Jordyn Pringle, Alexis Ferg, Amanda (Ferg), wife of Bobby Keim; great grandchildren, Hunter and Brantley Keim; brother, James Michael, married to the former Helen Kay Parks, Hummelstown; sister-in-law, Anna Marie (Yakulik), wife of William R. Stofko, and several nieces and a nephew. Helen was so blessed to have wonderful neighbors, close friends and loving family throughout the years, especially Pat, Maryann “Mar” and Joyce, she loved you all. Helen was a lifelong member of the Conemaugh Volunteer Fire Company Ladies' Auxiliary. She had a full life, worked hard, and enjoyed sitting on her porch, talking to the neighbors. She appreciated being able to see her grandchildren play sports. Helen was their biggest fan, always proud of her Blue Jays. Her most recent, and greatest, joy was getting hugs and kisses from Hunter and Brantley. Committal Service will be held at noon on Wednesday at Holy Trinity Church Cemetery, Rev. Dr. Robert F. Oravetz. Friends will be received from 3-7 p.m. on Wednesday after the Committal Service, at Helen’s home for a celebration of her life.
