Salata - Helen, 92, Palmyra, PA, formerly of Parkhill, passed tenderly into the arms of her Lord and Savior on February 17, 2019 at the Londonderry Village, Palmyra, Pa. She was born November 26, 1926 in Parkhill. She is the daughter of Mary (Zuzak) and Joseph Ziemba. She is predeceased by her parents, husband James and daughter Helen Marie; siblings Frank, Ted, John, Chester, Joseph, Jr. and Edward; sisters Adella and Stella. She is survived by son James Michael and Helen Kay, Hershey, sister Sophie Bartina and brother Bill, Philadelphia, sisters-in-law Jen Mercik and June Ziemba; son-in-law John Michael Yakulik; grandchildren Christine and Jerame Pringle, Jean Yakulik and Darren Masoryak, Janice and Sean Ferg, Matthew Salata and Megan Whitmarsh, Los Angeles, Kimberly and Joseph Teetz, Palmyra; greatgrandchildren; Amanda and Bobby Keim, Ean Pringle, Jordyn Pringle, Lexi Ferg, Frances and Leona Salata, Emily and Nathan Teetz; and great-great grandsons Hunter and Brantley Keim. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews who meant the world to her. She was a member of Holy Trinity Byzantine Catholic Church, Parkhill American Legion Post #970 Ladies Auxiliary and Jackson Township Senior Center. She dedicated her life to being a homemaker, mother and grandmother. She most enjoyed spending time with her family and friends sharing good food and fun. Helen loved Jesus very much and loved to listen to hymns, especially, Jesus Loves Me. She will be forever loved and greatly missed. Friends and family will be received from 9-10:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at the Baker-Harris Funeral Chapel, 229-231 First Street, Conemaugh, where Panachida will be held at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home followed by Devine Liturgy at 11 a.m. at Holy Trinity Byzantine Catholic Church, Rev.
