Partsch - Helen Veronica, 99, Johnstown, went to be with the Lord on October 10, 2014. Born on April 19, 1915 in Johnstown, daughter of Leopold and Veronica (Dziurdzik) Schmidt. Preceded in death by parents; husband, William H.; three sisters, and daughter, Mary Elaine Hauser. She is survived by daughters, Arlene, wife of John Hamilton, Waxahachie, TX; Helen, wife of Paul Campitelli, Ocean City, MD; Patricia, wife of John Krupa, Geistown Borough; and son, William, married to former Susan Majcher, Goodview, VA. Also, survived by nine grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Helen was the wife of a Conemaugh Township, Cambria County dairy farmer. She was a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church. Helen was also a member the Locust Grove Society of Farm Women, where she won many awards at the Cambria County Fair for her pickles and preserves. She was also a Judge of Election in her district for many years. Helen retired from UPJ after 17 years of service. She spent her retirement years making afghans and quilts for her children and grandchildren. Helen loved watching football, especially when her son, grandsons and great grandson played. Friends received from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, where Vigil for the deceased will be held. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday at St Benedict Catholic Church, Fr. David S. Peles, Pastor. Committal will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
