Naugle – Helen, “Baba”, 83, of East Conemaugh Borough, went to be with the Lord on November 2, 2015 at Memorial Medical Center. Born on June 5, 1932 in Johnstown, daughter of Vasil and Katherine (Strenk) Derevjanik. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Martin E. Naugle; daughters, Katherine Stockdill and Theresa Buterbaugh; sisters, Anna Kindya, Martha Long, Mary Tenga; brothers, Michael, John, and Nicholas. She is survived by her loving sons, Martin E., married to the former Deborah Swansinger, Roanoke, VA and Michael E., married to the former Barbara Hartland, Upper Yoder Township; 12 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; sisters, Irene Kassick, Johnstown and Julia Witkosky, Franklin Borough and numerous nieces and nephews. Helen was a graduate of Franklin High School. She was employed at the former Penn Traffic Department Store as a waitress and later retired from the Allegheny Lutheran Home. Helen was a member of the Church of the Transfiguration. Baba was a proud member of the Conemaugh Community. She could be seen frequently visiting local business, attending Mass at the Church of the Transfiguration, and sitting on her porch swing talking with her neighbors. Seeing the children of Fourth Street play on the side walk was a source of joy for Baba and helping them to develop their talents in the church choir or by displaying their art work in her home always brought a smile to her face. Friends will be received from 3-7 p.m. on Thursday at the Baker-Harris Funeral Chapel, Conemaugh, where Vigil for the deceased will be held. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday at the Church of the Transfiguration, Fr. Robert C. Hall, Pastor. Committal will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery.
