Labosky, Helen, 99, of Upper Yoder Township, formerly of East Conemaugh Borough, passed away on February 3, 2014. She was born August 3, 1914 in Twin Rocks, PA. Daughter of John and Anna (Risko) Popp. Preceded in death by her parents, loving husband Andrew Labosky; sister, Mary Fatula; brothers, John F., Michael, Charles, and Stephen. Survived by her loving children, Andrew (JoAnn), Derby, KS, Margaret Ann (Ronald) Luther, Poolesville, MD, Elaine (John A.) Varmecky, East Taylor township, Michael J. (Brenda), Beaver Creek, OH, Thomas E. (Esther), Beaverdale, PA, Donna M. (Frank) Schellhammer, Turtle Creek, PA, and Robert J. (Linda), Glen Burnie, MD; grandmother of 30; great grandmother of 52; 1 great-great grandson; brother, Frank (Rose) Popp, Davidsville; sisters-in-law, Irene Popp, Upper Yoder Township, and Thelma Popp, Jackson Township and numerous nieces and nephews. She will be sadly missed by her entire family and special friends, Annabelle and Jean. Everyone will miss her sense of humor and her sweet and loving personality. Helen retired 32 years ago from Conemaugh Valley School District, where she was employed in the cafeteria. She was a member of Christ the Savior Cathedral. Helen enjoyed reading, crocheting, embroidery, Jumble, crossword, and jigsaw puzzles. She loved her daily soup, cup of tea and family gatherings. Friends received from 2-8 P.M. on Thursday at the Baker-Harris Funeral Chapel, 229-231 First Street, Conemaugh, where Panachida service will be held at 2 P.M. On Friday a prayer service will begin at 9 A.M. at the funeral home followed immediately by the funeral service at 10 A.M. at Christ the Savior Cathedral, Very Reverend Protopresbyter Robert Buczak.
