HARRINGTON---Helen V., 78, Davidsville, formerly of Laurel, Maryland, peacefully passed away on March 9, 2022 at Windber Hospice. Born November 20, 1943, in Washington D.C. daughter of Fitzhugh Lee and Helen (Balsley) Neil. Preceded in death by parents; husband, John Harrington and sister, Ann. Survived by children, Michael Harrington and wife, Michelle, Myrtle Beach, SC and Jane Drzewiecki and husband, John, Westmont; grandchildren, Justin, Kyle and Travis, and Cody, Hayden, McKinley and Carter and great-grandchildren. Sister of Richard Neil, Oklahoma. Helen was a graduate of Howard University. She was a manager for the National Flood Insurance Program for over 30 years. Helen was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Laurel, MD where she was very involved in volunteering with their vacation Bible school, their work at homeless shelters and with the Jobs for Life Program. As a life coach with that program, she helped individuals acquire jobs, clothing and essentials that were important to their success. Helen loved to travel and especially loved cruises, bowling and going to the casinos. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family whom she truly loved. Memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. Thursday, March 17, 2022 at Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, with Pastor Wes Yoder officiating.
